What Are Veneers?

Veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front side of teeth. Porcelain or plastic, veneers are placed over the front teeth to change color shape of the teeth. Veneers are ideal for teeth that are too small, too big, or have uneven surfaces. Porcelain veneers can normally be done in 2-3 visits, under local anaesthetic with virtually no pain. Porcelain (indirect) veneers are a very thin porcelain material. Usually porcelain veneers require two visits and also require a dental laboratory to create the final tooth restoration piece.

LUMINEERS BY CERINATE is a new type of porcelain veneer that can be made as thin as a contact lens (approximately .2mm thick). Little to no tooth reduction in most cases is necessary with this type of veneer and anesthetics or numbing shots are often not needed.
